I have had the pleasure of working next door to Tiffany Rolland for the past year. I have worked closely with her as the librarian and reading interventionist for Golden Empire Elementary School. My library is next door to her class, and thus I was able to observe her class many times in passing. The things I saw and heard often left me smiling from the joy coming from Ms. Rolland and her students.

One way I saw, or heard, Ms. Rolland help her students stay on task, was by singing during transition periods. While pulling out new books or papers from their desks, her class could often be heard singing. By the time the song was done, the students would be ready to work on their next activity. Not only did this help keep the students occupied and focused, it also helped them be more optimistic and excited for the upcoming task.

Ms. Rolland was constantly on the lookout for ways to make learning accessible for all students. When students were struggling or falling behind, she always found ways to help them catch up. One of the ways I saw her do this was when she helped a student with his reading and spelling. This student was far behind his peers in the subject matter. Instead of letting him get frustrated and giving up, Ms. Rolland found ways to make the experience more equitable for him. She would give him tests with word banks to help him. Instead of constantly failing every test, he began to advance in his knowledge and application of reading and spelling skills. By the end of the year he made vast improvements, and was able to narrow the gap between himself and his peers.

One of the things that stood out the most this year while teaching with Ms. Rolland was the joy she exuded in celebrating her student’s achievements. Her students knew how much she cared because of the excitement she showed them every time they succeeded. This led to all of her students making a connection with her. Watching her students come to her with their triumphs because they knew it would make her happy was a joy to see. In my 7 years working at this school, I don’t know that I’ve seen a class more excited to come to school and see their teacher than I saw this year with Ms. Rolland.

Working with Ms. Rolland this year has been a privilege. Her infectious joy and excitement in celebrating learning and achievement will be a beacon to those around her in her endeavors.

Sincerely,

Dale Lovrin

Five-Star Recommendation for Tiffany Rolland

I had the pleasure of meeting Tiffany Rolland in the fall of 2022 at Caleb Greenwood Elementary School in Sacramento. At the time, she was working as a substitute teacher, and I was serving as a Registered Behavior Technician, supporting a student with Down syndrome one-on-one for the past three years.

Since our first meeting, I’ve had the opportunity to observe Tiffany in several classrooms she has managed. She consistently demonstrates exceptional qualities including gentleness, strength, fairness, open-mindedness, and a well-balanced temperament while teaching. Her natural ability to connect with students is truly a gift.

Working with children who have Down syndrome requires patience, consistency, and an understanding of their unique needs. These children often take longer to process directions and require a stable, supportive environment to thrive. Tiffany has a clear understanding of this. She supports my student by allowing him to work at his own pace, eliminating the power struggles that are common in such settings. Her approach fosters confidence and independence, which are essential to student growth.

She consistently goes above and beyond expectations, and I am confident she will be a valuable asset wherever she goes. You will not be disappointed!

Kind regards,

Georgia Graham

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to express my gratitude and admiration for Ms. Rolland. She has been my daughter’s 2nd grade teacher during the 2024-2025 school year. She helped build my daughters confidence through class interaction, participation, and other fun upbeat learning techniques.

Understanding that my daughter struggled with learning, Mr. Rolland and I had wonderful communication in assisting with the growth of my daughter. She had a gift that made her students feel important and valued, as well. My daughter, Giulianna, has blossomed so much under her guidance and we will forever be grateful.

Tiffany did an amazing job in nurturing my daughter’s writing skills, making each session enjoyable and engaging. My daughter actually looks forward to her writing lessons with Tiffany, which is a testament to her teaching skills. Tiffany takes the time to go through each step slowly, ensuring that my daughter not only comprehends but also grasps the importance of every aspect of writing. In addition, to help my daughter foster a love for reading, Tiffany dedicated her own time to researching and selecting quality books tailored to my daughter’s interests and hobbies. We are truly fortunate to have Tiffany as part of my daughter’s educational journey.

I like how Tiffany first built a relationship with my son. She took a common interest in basketball to bring out his personality. I think building a relationship is an important skill when teaching new students. I also appreciated the flexibility in her schedule. We are in two different time zones and it's helpful to know she is available when we needed her. School has started and a lot of tutors where not available in the evenings. She has been most patient in teaching reading comprehension techniques that will better help him. I can tell he is even more confident talking and summarizing. It was great to work on reading comprehension this summer instead of going to expensive summer camps.

Ms. R. is a fantastic reading and literacy tutor. After working with her for a couple of months, my 3rd grader brought his reading grade up a full letter grade. She makes her sessions fun for him - he never complains before and always has a smile on his face after. She also keeps me posted on his progress. I highly recommend!

I am writing this letter as a testimonial to Tiffany Rolland. I can not express enough what an amazing Person and Teacher She is. My son Elijah is in his second grade class. Elijah is on the spectrum and has not been able to read or write. Through dedication, hard work and skill Ms.Rolland has changed that. Elijah is reading!! I honestly never thought he would get there. He can write legibly, he can spell, count and knows his alphabet, Elijah enjoys math and is doing much better than I could ever of imagined. I signed Elijah up for Ms.Rolland’s tutoring and there has been times that Elijah is having a meltdown right before tutoring is to start.but with such love and patients Ms.Rolland gets Elijah calmed and interacting with her. He enjoys going to class and says he has the best Teacher. Ms.Rolland has been a mentor for my 8 year old 3rd grader. She checks in with Olivia and gives her the pep talk she needs in that moment. Showing compassion and sincerity, giving the option for a different point of view during a difficult situation, making learning fun and a joy, showing learning doesn't have to be boring sitting behind a desk all day. Ms.Rolland has been a true blessing in our lives. Ive had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Rolland in action with her students. The way She is able to calmly bring her students back to a focus point. Her students respect her and are very well behaved with her. â€‹

I have had the privilege of working with Ms. Tiffany Rolland for the 2024-2025 school year. She is an amazing teacher who doesn’t just teach academics but the whole child. She creates a calm classroom while infusing movement, singing, and learning together. Ms. Rolland is also very collaborative with her team and other teachers onsite.

I have thoroughly enjoyed her presence on our campus this year, and has elevated our campus’ social emotional culture. You will be remiss if you did not take the opportunity to work with Ms. Tiffany Rolland.

Okay, my kiddos are in the 1st and 3rd grade. I met Ms. Rolland at a community event and she told me about her mission to help as many kids as possible succeed. How she teaches should be the experience my kids receive in the classroom. It saddens me that so many kids including mine are struggling because of the Covid year and how some teachers lack the understanding that not all kids learn the same way. Since my kids have been receiving tutoring from Tiffany their grades increased and their teachers were amazed with how much they improved. My 3rd grader who didn’t like to read now asks if he can read a book and can’t wait for his next lesson with Tiffany. My 1st grader is sounding out and reading labels while we shop and is explaining to me cause and effect. I’m glad I booked with Tiffany. She is a gem. She is helping my kids so much. Thank you, Ms. Tiffany.

After talking with Tiffany about my concerns with my kids with returning to school after COVID I could not wait to sign to sign them up for the program. It was a relief to hear that my concerns were not uncommon and I was not alone. Her confidence and background has made me even more excited to have my children work with Tiffany. The registration process was a breeze and the replies from Tiffany have been excellent!

Coach R's is the best! I thank her because we could not have done it without her. Our children were struggling in school. I did not know what to do or how to help them anymore than my husband and I were. Covid effected our children's education greatly. They were struggling with phonics, reading fluency, understanding concepts and terms. This effected their test scores, confidence, and class participation. A friend of mine told me how Ms. Rolland is helping her kids and how they are doing so much better in their classes. Presently, our children are at grade level and one of my son's has exceeded grade level. I am so grateful! You can tell that Ms. Rolland loves what she does and that she knows what she's talking about. I recommend Ms. Rolland 100%!

I reached out to Ms. Rolland through email with the hope that she could help my daughter increase her reading level. My daughter reads below grade level and she needs that extra boost of confidence as well. Ms. Rolland was so understanding and helped me to understand that I am not alone and my daughter will excel. She ask some insightful questions about my daughter's reading level and what information her teacher has provided. I am looking forward to Ms. Rolland’s program for my daughter. Thank you, Ms. Rolland.

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Tiffany Rolland. I have worked with Tiffany during the 2024-2025 school year at Golden Empire Elementary School. I have learned that she is a caring and compassionate person who is dedicated to ensure all students feel safe, supported, and learned at the highest levels. Her ability to manage behaviors of all her students was very impressive. Tiffany has also implemented a new mentor program at Golden Empire that I’m very excited about and can’t wait to take part as a mentor in the 2025-2026 school year.

I have had the opportunity to interact with numerous teachers during my 28 years in Education. I can say without a doubt that Tiffany is a strong and capable person. I am aware of the demands inherent in the role of an elementary school teacher. I also understand why choosing the best person for a job is of critical importance. Tiffany has an in-depth awareness and understanding of many aspects of child development and has the vision and talent to perform any task. I strongly recommend Tiffany for any position she’s applying for. Her leadership skills and making sure each of her students are able to learn at his or her own ability level is second to none.
